The Beck terroir effect
With an exceptional south-facing terroir, at the top of the southernmost hills of Costières de Nîmes, the vines benefit from optimum sunshine and the thermal influence of the Mediterranean. The uniformity of the soils is at the origin of a veritable mosaic of micro-terroirs bringing Beck wines their great complexity. The soils bear witness to the vagaries of the Rhône during the Quaternary glacial periods. Hence, the soil contains a high proportion of galets roulés, or pudding stones, which store the heat of the sun promising full ripeness and flavour.

The vineyard
All in one block, the vineyard extends over 50 hectares. Rich in the world’s most expressive grape varieties, it offers a diversity of Costières de Nîmes and Vin de Pays d'Oc wine :
  • Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for the Reds
  • Roussane, Viognier, Grenache and Bourboulenc for the Whites.
These are old vines, some Grenache aged over 50 years.
