Inveterate admirer of the Camargue, Costières de Nîmes and fine wine, Jean-François Herbinger embarked on a real challenge: to revive the most beautiful and historical area in Costières de Nîmes, a short distance from Vauvert, where he would produce wine worthy of the finest the Rhône Valley has to offer.
Château de Beck is surrounded by fifty hectares of vines affording a stunning view of the lakes and ponds of Petite (or little) Camargue. The property is an integral part of the history of the 12th century town of Vauvert; dependencies of the Hospitals of Nîmes in the 16th century, it became the main residence of Prosper Falgairolle, a 19th century historian.
